The Makings of Christmas 2010

This years Christmas celebration was wonderful for our family! Just knowing that next year we are growing by two more babies is incredible to me! What a blessing from the Lord all of our children are! Here are some highlights from our Christmas!

We spent our Christmas Eve day in our PJ's doing a lot of this...cooking and EATING!

Christmas Eve we went to supper with my family!

All the kids were lined up on one long bench! Perfect for all our little ones!

My babies on Christmas morning!

Libby's favorite present...her ankle boots! Girl after my own heart!

We went to my sisters for lunch! These sweet girls got to watch Cinderella for the first time! They loved it!

My niece Holland Jane and the twins!

Sunday we had a little snow, which is very rare here!

Sunday we headed off to church in the snow. Then headed to Beth and Patrick's for yummy leftovers!

I am working on a post of my favorite products of 2010!
Have a safe and happy New Year everyone!

Rinna Beth says "ta-da my family!"

Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.  Isaiah 7:14

We hope you have a very blessed and joyful time celebrating the birth of Jesus!

Shop Till You Drop!

Today I was on a mission to finish up my Christmas shopping, so I loaded up my troops (Gray, Rinna Beth and Libby) and off we went to complete "Momma's Mission"! By the time we got home this is how we all felt!!!!!

Bless her heart! We didn't get home until 2 hours after her usual bed time! Thank goodness our "mission" was a success! Now just to finish everything else.....

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm LOVING the good report I got at my doctors appointment Tuesday on the twins! PTL! I'm also LOVING that I had a sonogram and I got to see two very sweet faces!
I'm LOVING that my sister and I made supper for my Dad tonight! I made beef stew and sweet tea and Bethany made homemade rolls and chocolate delight!

I'm LOVING that my super sweet friend Jessica lent me some of her cute maternity clothes! With twins coming I didn't want to spend a lot of money on clothes for myself and Jessica is generiously letting me borrow hers!! Thanks Jess!
I'm LOVING my gorgeous friend Christi who just celebrated her birthday! Even though she lives very far away and we don't see each other very often, when we do its just like old times, we pick right back up, like we see each other everyday! She has been a lifelong friend! I cherish our friendship! Love you Christi!

I'm LOVING my beautiful SIL and very close friend Lyndsie! Today is her birthday! We have laughed together till we cried and cried the ugly cry till we laughed, she knows me! Her friendship has been a true gift from the Lord! Happy birthday Lynds! I love you dearly!

I'm LOVING these sweet babies who are sleeping so sweetly!

I'm LOVING this handsome man who just brought me a hot chocolate, and now I'm going to enjoy it with him!

When was the last time you.....

CLEANED your makeup brushes? So I realize that this is probably the busiest time of the year for most of us! So I thought I'd do a really quick "how to" on cleaning your makeup brushes, literally five minutes to do this oh so important task. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to clean your tools regularly! After all none of us want to apply blush and bacteria on our face! YUCK!

So because I'm a Mommy and have Johnson's head-to-toe baby wash on hand for my babies, I actually gave it a try cleaning my brushes and I love it. I already have it, its inexpensive compared to professional brush cleaners and gentle on your brushes!
I wet my brushes pour some Johnson's in my hand and gently rub my brush in the cleanser.

Then I wash all the cleanser out of the brush. Gently squeeze the water out, reshape the brush and lay flat to dry on a towel.

I also cleaned my hairbrushes separately that day too. I clean all the hair out of the brushes, let them soak in hot water and dish soap and lay flat to dry.
So there you have it, its that easy. Trust me your makeup will look so much better when your brushes are clean and your brushes will pick up your color so much better too!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm LOVING that this is my first time linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm LOVING that I get to spend my day's with these precious'!

I'm LOVING that I'm officially in my 2nd trimester!

I'm LOVING that my sister went to the Beauty Supply store and got lots of goodies for me! Thanks Beth!
Kenra Classic Volume Spray

I'm LOVING that this weekend we hope to buy all the "BIG" presents for the kids!

I'm LOVING that a sweet lady from church told me Sunday "Mommy's don't want more babies unless they have a good Daddy that helps!" That's definitely what I've been blessed with a wonderful, loving husband and Daddy to our babies!

I'm LOVING these verses Psalms 62:5& 6 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved.

Eyelashes!

We had a busy Christmas filled weekend! We got out the Christmas decorations Saturday night and decorated the house. Sunday after church we decided to take our family Christmas card pictures. Yes after church, lunch and right at nap time I decided was the only time to squeeze in pictures. Then after the kids finally got their naps in, Rinna Beth and I made our first batch of Christmas cookies!
Now on to eyelashes. I decided that for our Christmas pictures I would add some flash eyelashes! I love eyelashes! I spend the most time when I'm doing my own makeup or someone elses on eyelashes. Curling, mascara, and yes sometimes the occasional false eyelash just for added volume and length! Now if you were born with beautiful, thick, long, dark, gorgeous lashes, I'll try not to be jealous! haha! If you're like me with skimpy, short, light lashes try some false lashes for yourself! When my husband I were dating and he saw me without makeup for the first time he actually asked me where my eyes went! So I'm not exaggerating about my lack of lashes! One of these days when I'm not pregnant I really want to try Latisse until then I think I may bring out the falsie's more often!

I tried Revlon Beyond Natural Professional Eyelashes for the first time!

My sister snapped these pictures while I was getting Libby dressed for pictures. We had just pulled a turtle neck on, so her hair is crazy! ha! I don't know how I didn't feel that hair across my cheek. Drives me nuts but you get the point of the lashes!

Just for fun I'll show you some of our Christmas Family 2010 outtakes!
A big thanks to Bethany with her help and patience I think we were actually able to get a few good ones! I'm off to put together a hopefully great 2010 Christmas card!

Thankful Thursday!

I am thankful that our BIG news is out...

I am thankful that at some point this weekend our Christmas decorations will be up! I am ready to decorate!
Cousins pic from last year!
And because this blog is supposed to be about makeup... I thought I'd show you one of my favorite little products and yes I'm thankful they keep that greasy look away! If you have oily skin these babies are a must! I use these to touch up instead of applying more and more powder through out the day.
Product Image Clean & Clear Instant Oil-Absorbing Sheets 50 sheets

I am thankful for a sweet husband who went on a milk run before work this morning so I wouldn't have to get the kids out in the cold first thing in the morning!
I am thankful that last night I was able to go to my ladies small group Christmas get together! I had so much fun laughing and catching up with all the ladies!

Most importantly I am so thankful to be celebrating the ultimate GIFT, the birth of my Lord and Savior this month!
